Seems this new update has got my OS going crazy...I think I've traced it to my assistant (app)...uses voice mate. Keeps saying server not responding. My 4G has entirely stopped functioning~ just sporatic LTE and really slow 3G. Other apps are acting "messed up".., looping, phone rebooting by itself,ect..wasn't bad until today. Any ideas, suggestions, uncorrupt files for voice mate? And it's companion files that someone could help me with or point me in right direction?

:thinking:Good and bad news...that didn't help. Called Google since they send out these updates. The c.s I spoke with eas surprised that I hadn't gotten the 5.0 that's being OTA to Volts. That's why we recieved the upgrade we did...was prep for 5.0. I have missing files. Thought so...starting with the V4 update. Recovery isn't working...bitmap stage _empty(code-1) ... sooo will see what Google sends as in files and OTAs. Good news for Volts tho ~ Google sending out the 5.0s....be watching!:)

You have to update the lg voice apps with the lg update center that's on the phone.

I've tried that...actually missing bitmap file(?). I called Google Support because both Boost and LG told me that they didn't send it and said Google did. Google said only if I'd bought Volt from them would they have sent it. However, they were super helpful and sent me links to download their version (before LG tweaked it OS was same). My problems are much bigger than an update...how about whole stupid OS on my phone corrupted by LG and/or Boost...:( I appreciate the assistance offered though. If you think of a way to get those files outta the ones they sent and make sure they don't brick my UNrooted phone I'd be thrilled...

Are you sure there wasn't some miscommunication or misunderstanding? I mean, I sincerely hope we get Lollipop, but I just did some looking after reading this and I still can't find anything about Lollipop for our phones aside from fake ROMs and that speculative list on techamigos. No announcements, official upgrade lists, nothing. Also, what number did you call? Would be a good number to have on hand.

855-836-3987...This is Google Support~ fast..maybe a minute (each time I called) of being on hold. I think the first lady didn't understand that if I use their files I'd have problems because I am sure that LG and BOOST/VERIZON/ATT change a few things..other than add bloat ware. So I'll post the rest of it in a second but PLEASE bear in mind that these are files that haven't been altered..surely diffrent checksums,ect...tear them down unless your ready to take a leap of faith that I'm not sure I am...

  1. If necessary, unlock the device's bootloader by running:
    fastboot oem unlock
The target device will show you a confirmation screen. (This erases all data on the target device.)
  2. Open a terminal and navigate to the unzipped system image directory.
  3. Execute the flash-all script. This script installs the necessary bootloader, baseband firmware(s), and operating system.
Once the script finishes, your device reboots. You should now lock the bootloader for security:

  1. Start the device in fastboot mode again, as described above.
  2. Execute:
    fastboot oem lock
Locking the bootloader does not wipe any data, but when you want to flash it again, you must runfastboot oem unlock again, which will wipe the data.
