After how long must your phone be idle for your phone to vibrate (Motion control/smart alert)

and does this work, when your phone is on loud/vibrate/mute... or does it only work when set on a certain setting.

    Please help. Thank You.

    (Samsung Galaxy S4)

I never timed it, but think it is based on the lock screen having activated (if you have a lock screen code). The loud/mute/vibrate settings does not matter. Remember this is an Air View feature and has to be turned on in settings.

I've gotten the vibration in as little as 5 seconds (I think). It just depends on the type of alert received (text/missed call/voicemail). Additionally, you have to pick your phone up from a horizontal position. If it's in your pocket or someplace where it isn't lying flat, it will not go off.
