Samsung Galaxy 550 turning off

Hi.. I have a Samsung Galaxy 550, which is powered by Android if I'm not mistaked. Anyways, it had been giving me some problems. It turns off by itself and won't turn back on unless I take out the battery. The phone is only 2 weeks old. Also, it has frozen and said something about the SD card and made a notification sound. Why is it doing this? It has turned off 3 times already. And could it be because I have music on my phone? It has an Mp3, so I can't be that.. and I only have around 35-40 songs on it anyways. What could it be? Other than that, the phone works fine. Thanks
