Help samsung galaxy help - no access??

Okay, a bit of a strange problem but one of my friends thought it would be funny to try and get into my phone but couldnt get past the pattern lock. Now it wont let me turn my phone on without entering my google account details. Now I use these details every single day and I know what they are but for some reason it is saying incorrect username / password? Have taken it to o2 who were less than helpful as they had no idea what was wrong with it! Please can someone help, has anyone else ever had this problem?

Ps I have tried the usual, turning it off/on removing battery/sim/memory card etc and still nothing, has been like this for over a week now!! Please help!!!

that being said, if your configuration is screwed up you may need to do a hard reset....hope your stuff is backed up.
