    hi

    I have the same problem happening over and over again when trying to charge my phone.

    When I try to charge my phone it charges full and when I disconnect the charger the phone does not recognize this. It marks Battery full Disconnect charger.

    After some time an error msg pops up saying: Charging paused. Voltage too high. The thing is however that the mobile is not connected to the charger and the green battery icon on the top right stays flashing.

    I have bought another battery so I guess the battery is not the problem.

    Has any1 had any similar problems? Or has any idea what I can do? I think I have some kind of short or a possibly a charger problem?

    Are you using the stock charger?

    No problems with mine. I usually put it on the charger before bed, sometimes on but most times I power it down. But I used to leave my Rezound on all the time when I charged it overnight and never had any issues like yours with that either.

    Just going by the info I have so far, I'd say you might want to look at the charger as well. Maybe a component inside has broken down and it is in fact supplying too much voltage. Inside these chargers there is a circuit that converts the 110VAC to 5VDC with a .5-1A limit. If the charger is malfunctioning, it may be sending 9VDC to it. Or it could also be sending AC at the phone if the filters aren't working. Replacing the charger means spending more money (unless you know someone else with an S3 who'd be willing to lend you their charger).

    After that you could try a factory reset to see if something is borked in the charging software. Not saying a reset would definitely fix that, but could be worth a try. Finally you could replace the phone itself, since it seems that this issue isn't widespread. Factory resetting and replacing the phone won't cost anything but time, since it will mean taking the time to setup the phone again.

    Just curious, but what is your country/carrier/phone model#? This mashing up all S3s in the same forum makes it difficult to pinpoint if the problem is universal, or only affects models from a certain carrier, or is limited to a few people.
