samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 camera problems

    I would appreciate any help. I am having an issue with my samsung tablet 2 7.0 when i use my camera many of my pictures come out solid grey and i can not retrieve them...

    :( any advice?

    No help, but I am seeing the exact same problem. Same thing happens whether using sd-card or internal memory. No issues with video or the Paper Camera app. There is a delay when the failure occurs.

    I am having exactly the same problem on my new Samsung Galaxy 2 10.1 tablet.
    For the first week I got some photos and some blank grey ones.
    Now it is coming up as 'Camera failed'.
    Any ideas?

    I too have the same problem with a tab 2, 10.1. However, it seems to work ok in low light situations, but not in bright outdoor light. Any ideas...?

    herbie: 2 weeks ago i purchased th galaxy tab 2 7.0. for some reason when i took a picture outdoors the picture that was save was grey, no image if the picture was taken the entire file was grey i emailed it to myself and when i vew it on my pc it was a grey box. i went back to best buy and exchanged it for a new one and i still have the same results, now if i take a picture the camera comes back with device error

    herbie: so what do i do now, this is the second tablet with the same exact problem, further more. the wifi connection keeps droping out and re connecting. it does nont connect at the full 150mb like wireless n should connect. this also a problem that i had with the first tablet i had

    They have no solution to the problem at this time. They will be elevating me to the second tier of support in which they will log in to my tablet. For that to happen I will have to wait 2 day for them to call me. Hope everyone gets a solution to the problem faster than I will!!!:mad:

    I have the same Problems, with Wifi dropping and with camera saving grey blank squares instead of pictures when used outside in sunlight. Looks to be bugs with this device if everyone has the same problems.

    OK so here is the band aid solution, it appears there is a bug in the OEM camera software that I am sure will be fixed one day, for now downloading a camera free app like MOBLYNX Camera ICS from the app store will let you take :eek:utdoor” pictures :)

    Interesting. I haven't taken any pictures outside with mine and I've had it since the end of August. Yep, I can verify it must be a bug with the stock cam app, the pics are coming out a blank grey.

    I just installed Camera ICS and the pictures are coming out okay.

    Good info. Bought the Tab 2 10.1 for my girlfriend for Christmas. Already returned the fist one due to camera issues. Second one is worse, and has the Wi-Fi issues, as well. Guess I'll return it and wait for Samsung to work the bugs out.

    THANK YOU so much for this post! I just put Camera ICS on my tablet, and now I can take nice pictures :) I had sworn the camera off.

    what wi-fi issue are you having? my wi-fi works fine, but maybe there's a setting that can help with your particular issue?

    Won't connect to some open networks.
    Drops connections.
    Others have posted issues with Wi-Fi, as well.
