Help Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 won't connect to Apple airport

Here is how to fix the problem. This is the same for some PC computers that can't connect to apple airport.

I had this problem. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 with wifi would show connection to my network but not actually connect.

Go on your apple computer and open your airport utility (find in "applications" then "Utilities" then "airport utilities).

Open Airport utilities
click on picture of you airport base station

click "manual settings" lower left of window

Then move your curser up to your computer menu bar (not in the airport window) and choose

"base station" and click on

"Equivalent Network Password"

It will say "Hex equivalent password (WEP key)

Now write this number down or enter into your tablet as below. Just click OK and exit the mac computer, you're done here, don't make any changes you just needed that number (it will have numbers and letters).

Go to your SAMSUNG galaxy Tab 2 7.0 or 10

Go to:
Settings

wifi

choose your apple airport network name

when it asks for the password enter the Hex equivalent password you just got of you base station.

You may have to try the browser a couple of times but you should now connect.
