Samsung Mesmerize wont say 2012 in texts

Ever since the new year, my texts messages say the time, the month, and the date, BUT not the YEAR. in 2011 it said the year, and when 2012 rolled around my texts dont say the year anymore. i even did a factory data reset.... what is up with this??? i have the latested upgrade... so what do i do???? does nayone else out there have this problem????

Are you using stock messaging or an app? Try clearing cache and data as this will wipe any previous setting feeds but won't wipe your messages. If that doesn't work and it's an app then uninstall and reinstall the app.
