Can't wait another moment to get your hands on this phone??
(Do you see what I did just then?? HA!)
Well good news for all of you thinkin' about switching to Sprint for this bad boy - You can now pre-order the Samsung Moment for $149!

    Happy pre-ordering!

Edit: It looks like this will work for existing customers too, with a two year contract renewal. Link at the top. However it seems they won't be getting free shipping, so it'll be 159.98

Wooo! Going to wait until the Sprint stores have the pre-order (if they do), but this is sweet still!

And save $10 in shipping charges compared to cellstores.com

Or save $100 up front in rebate savings, and $30 less than the $179, and taxes of course.

However, I tried ordering from them, and got the run-around for two days now. They got about a dozen things wrong. I cannot recommend them one bit until my phone comes in.

I just ordered the phones from Wirefly yesterday morning, and they had some issues with porting the number, because my old Verizon account was in my dad's name and the Sprint account will be in my name.

But after they took care of that, the phone was shipped that same afternoon. I got 2 Moments, and an LG Lotus for $300 total. No taxes, and free shipping.

So, with these phone deals, are you stuck using the standard price plans, or can you get them and still use an employee referral or corporate discount plan?

    Thx,
    MLH

I'm pretty sure you can get the corporate discounts. As soon as I get my phones tomorrow and get them activated, I'm going to call Sprint to get all that done, and have them waive the activation fee.

I'll update tomorrow when I get the phones.

Has anyone found a better deal that this? I could not get my local bb store to match this and would prefer local pickup.

I thought Bestbuy _guaranteed_ price matching?
Or was that (the now defunct) Circuit City?

Best Buy told me they would only match local competitors, and I have confirmed that this is the policy as stated on their website.

I got my phone yesterday. Right when it arrived, my 1 of my verizon phones were already ported, and the other 2 got ported about 30 minutes after that.

Then I called Sprint to get the activation fee waived, and they said there wasn't one on the account.

But I'll be confirming that today when I setup the online account. Anyways, for the price I would say that Wirefly is pretty good. I would doubt there's any way you could find a better price local, especially considering Wirefly doesn't charge tax in most states.

And as far as the phone goes, it's great. Just sucks that a few of the apps don't work on the moment just yet.

Bar code scanner is one. But they have already fixed it in the development builds. So they just need to release a new version and that will be fixed.

The good news is that there are a couple of other programs that use it that seem to work fine.

And there a talking caller id app that seems to be hit or miss. But I'm not sure how well it works on the other phones.

There were a couple of other ones, but I can't remember which ones. But they weren't any thing really important.

Unfortunately that looks to be only for new lines of service (not upgrades), and says out of stock ships in 4-6 weeks.

I did see that it was for new activations. I didn't see that it was out of stock, that sucks. I was thinking of bringing this in to a local 3rd party retailer and trying to get them to match that deal. Not currently a spring customer so it MAY work. Im sure that sprint wont match this though, so its up to the 3rd party guys to come through for me.

I also ordered a couple of Moments from Amazon. Even though they are out of stock, to save $100 per phone, it's certainly worth waiting if you can.

It would be nice, though, for Amazon to at least send an email with an estimate for the ship date.

I just found today that Best Buy Mobile.com has it for $99 for new lines. I am going to see if I have any luck getting them to price match it in store (I already purchased the other week). According to the policy they technically do not have to since the website states 'online only'.

I saw that on bestbuy.com last night, so i popped by my local best buy today and the rep i spoke with said that hed match the 79.99 amazon price. You mileage may vary on this though cause i'm sure that company policy is to match only brick and motor stores only, but some may get lucky.

I was able to get the price match to best buy mobile.com with no trouble. $99 is a great price for this phone.

is any else pissed that the moment is 79.99 at amazon right now. I love my moment but it looks like i will be returning it. Theres no way I can keep it, the price dropped $100 dollars in two weeks. $100 dollars!! i still have a year left in my contract so i dont know what to do. I think the phone is amazing but if everyone else is getting it for $79.99 i want a great phone for $79.99 too..

I tried two Best Buys and had no luck. They wouldn't match $79 from Amazon and said that if they gave me an upgrade at $99 they would not make money. I went by a smaller privately owned sprint store with no luck either. I am going to wait I think it will go down to $99 around the holidays.
