    What???

I thought this was the best news of the day for me.

I am going to port my T-Mobile number to Sprint.

And I actually have a question about this. I am still under contract with T-Mobile, Do I need to go Sprint first, buy EVO, sign 2-year contract, and they will port number.

Or do I need to cancel my contract with T-Mobile first, THEN go and buy EVO, sign contract, etc?

Curious if this works if you're coming form an account that gets a corporate discount, and moving to one on sprint. But the acct is individual, not technically through the employer

You go to Sprint first and they will port the number when you setup your new account, once the port is complete T-Mobile will automagically cancel your line.

Awesome, this will negate the $100 I will receive from tmobile for cancelling my contract early.

Some times the best you can get as an employee getting a company discount is for them to waive the $36 activation fee. Some company discounts include this, some don't. You should ask though, and let them know you're going to be taking a hit on the other end and appeal to Sprint for a little help softening the blow.

They need to add millions of subcribers so it might be worth a try.

Will T-Mobile be calling me and saying

"We've just had your number ported to the Sprint network, say it ain't so?"

Will they demand the ETF right away?
