Root SBF'ing back to 2.2

I'm seeing a lot of people considering flashing the 2.2 SBF to receive the OTA upgrade.

There is a RDS Lite 4.9, but the 4.8 should still work fine for your X.

You CANNOT flash to 2.2 if you've already flashed the 2.2.1 leaked version. This will brick your phone.

However, if all you did was remove bloatware, or deodex and install a theme, the 2.2 sbf is still an option.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure flashing back to anything bricks your phone, especially from 2.2.1 back to 2.1

Sorry guys, I was vague. I updated the OP.

Several people that deodexed or removed apps have asked about sbfing so I thought I'd find where the 2.2 SBF was available.

This is will work for me with Apex ROM 1.0.2.2 correct? No leak.

Ideally you can just check your bootloader version.

• turn your phone off,
• turn it back on while holding the volume down and camera button
• note the bootloader version

Version 30.0.4 means you've already have the updated bootloader and you will probably brick your phone if you sbf with 2.2.

So u are saying that I can go from the 2.2.1 leak back to OTA 2.2 via sbf as long as my phone is still 30.03 ?

Quick question here...I have rubix blurry 1.6.3 and in his release notes he states if on this rom we can sbf back to 2.3.15. Now here's the question in about phone it says 2.3.20...can I still sbf for the new update?

Blurry 1.6.3 has the android 2.2.1 system files only. If you check your bootloader, you should see no 30.0.3, same as OTA froyo, (assuming you had 2.2 prior to Blurry) which is ready to upgrade with OTA, provided you ditch the rom.

i'm still on the 2.3.9 leak (yea, bad, i know haha). is this what i need to get to 2.3.340? sbf with this then OTA to 2.3.340?

anyone willing to hop on aim and hold my hand a bit? i think i can manage fine, but i'd be more comfortable haha.
