Help screen bounces

My Samsung galaxy young has a problem with screen stability. Whether i'm texting or on the net eg Facebook, the phone starts bouncing from one screen to another, enters it's own text and generally acting like it's going psycho. I have to turn it off but it doesn't take long before the same thing happens. Bought second hand so don't know it's history
