On my desire the screen does not timeout. I have set it to 15 seconds but the screen always stays on. Anyone know why?

First solution: Try turning the phone off and on.

Tried the same thing once, that solved it.

This happens quite frequently to me if BBC iPlayer hangs .... even if I exit the app. It has clearly overridden the screen time out but fails to release it on exit

Force close on iPlayer always sorts it.

Hi, I just have identified MoboPlayer for doing the same. It happens with big sized video files only, though. 113MB video file opened, played for a few minutes, then MoboPlayer closed (I thought). Screen timeout stops working. MoboPlayer force closed --> screen timeout is working fine again, not even a reboot is required.

Thanks for the hint, djdoo and nickkr.
