Scrolling through music

Scrolling through my music library is extremely slow/laggy due to the album covers that show up (need to load) along the left side of each song. I have searched long and hard for a way to get rid of these. I deleted the folder titled 'albumcovers' on my SD card to no avail.

I am rooted; currently running Fresh 2.1.1. I have had this issue with all ROMS I have used (Eris Lightning and WhiteWidow). I would like to stick with the stock music player because I have my playlists just the way I want them.

Suggestions? Anyone have this issue?

You betcha. That was kinda just a stab at it; I don't have too much music on my card. Glad it helped out a little.
