    Hey guys,

I've been reading for quite a while now and I haven't made our reached a clear answer from what I saw on the forums. Some people are complaining about SanDisk while others are complaining about Kingston.

I want a 64GB SD Card that is reliable and can last forever with no issues.

I'm no expert when it comes to formats and types. I saw that there is SDXC and SDHC and roar cards can be in different formats like FAT32 and ExFAT. I need some quick info on what to buy asks which brand could be the most reliable. I've already purchased a card from eBay which lasted for a week then fried all my personal photos and videos. It was a cheap unknown card though.

    Appreciate your time guys.

Thanks for your reply but I want some info on why I should get SD Card X and not SD Card Y.

I bought a couple of those SanDisk's from Amazon over a year ago and never had any problems. I lost one and am using the other in my gs4 now. I think the problem with the sandisk's is that with all the different sellers on Amazon some of them are going to have the dodgy stock. I did a lot of reading through the reviews from each vendor and found one without any reviews of the faulty cards and it seemed to pay off. I could be wrong here but I think when I was looking the sdxc were the only ones supporting exfat so I went for that because of no restriction on file size whereas a fst32 card only supports a file size of upto 4gb

    Thanks man.

Alright so I should be looking for SDXC 64GB ExFAT compatible card that is class 10 right?

    SanDisk, Kingston, or Samsung?

If you get a good fully working sdxc it'll be the best you can get. Personally I've only tried the SanDisk so I can't really make a comparison between the three but SanDisk have never let me down. It's getting harder to make a call these days though as it does seem to be a bit of pot luck whether you get one of the fakes. But if you look at the latest reviews on the vendors hopefully you should be fine. I ended up paying a little extra as the cheapest couple had a few dodge reviews.

I just got a Sandisk from Costco and it was crap. So I am trying a Samsung 32g from Amazon so lets hope this one is better.

The packaging looks the same as the ones I got so good luck. If it turns up in those packs you should be good with any luck:)

The one I bought was sold by Amazon, not just fulfilled by Amazon. And BTW, I didn't buy it in their "hassle free" packaging due to concerns the item might be a return.

I think it's more likely that SanDisc has had some quality control issues lately. Those things happen. I have owned HD Homerun tuners and I remember several years ago they had a batch of bad product, although there it was the wall wart transformer.

That's exactly what I've been trying to get at. I hope I didn't come across as me saying you did something wrong as that wasn't my intention. The bad ones could've ended up anywhere from the totally legit like Amazon to third party vendors which is why I was suggesting to check the reviews as it'll tell you if they've recently had a bad batch:)

I just picked up the Samsung 64GB card yesterday, waiting for Amazon to deliver it Monday. I went with it over the SanDisk (after trouble free use from my trusty SanDisk 16GB for 4 years and 4 different phones) due to the mixed bag of reviews I was reading. Plus the Samsung card had a higher speed rating compared to the SanDisk model I was looking at.
