Help SD File recovery HTML

Does anyone know if it is possible to open an html file on the sdcard ... in a similar fashion as you would with a PC Browser...

I tried in the browser an entry like :
\sdcard\download\pages\test.htm
and this does not open the file ... Am I using the wrong format ?
possibly : ..\\sdcard\download\pages\test.htm or some other variation ? Thanks for help or suggestions ...

sorry I did know exactly where to post this ... and I didnt see a Support Link on the Home Forums page... and now since it was moved ... the link in the latest post is incorrect and goes to an empty topic/post ...
