Help Search by organization/company

I am seeing other phones with Android OS and thy can search by organization somehow. Is there a way to do this on he HTC thunderbolt?

I have the same problem did you fix it? I cant change them all I have thousands..

Search from the home screen not from the contacts. Also make sure that contacts is selected in search settings. I believe it is on by default.

The search tool that very quickly and effectively searches your contacts by company is the google search widget. The one with the white "g" on the blue background. It is on the one to the left home screen by default on the Tbolt.

You need to set it up so that it searches your contacts as well "People". Tap the "g" then the grey button icon (is it a button?) then check "People". This one begins finding all contacts any given company on my phone even before I finish typing the company name. I don't have a huge number of contacts but something like 1000+. The search in the People app itself should obviously work as well...
