Root Security Flaw?

Is it possible to password protect the recovery image; where we flash our roms ect...?

I have password protected the device to stop the phone being used while it is on, but it's really pointless when someone can turn the phone off and just reflash the device.

Granted, they could do that anyway even if i had an offical rom without the recovery image, but it would still be a nice feature if it's possible.

I agree, it is a bit of a flaw. Like you said, it's not gonna make much difference if your phone was stolen, but the recovery image is still easy for others to abuse.

All the more reason to keep a up to date nandroid backup on your SD card. Or even on something like dropbox :)
