    Anyone else had this pop up today?

    I've had it, tried to update and it's giving me an 'Update failed due to network issues'

    Yep, Me too.
    I started a thread about this recently.
    I thought it had something to do with Whatsapp.
    I contacted them & an update was released.
    However, I have deleted the app & I am still getting the Security policy popup, but cannot due to network issues!
    Anyone got a answer yet?

    There is a workaround for the annoying notification until they fix the download. Long-pressing the notification allows you to view App Info and then you can force-stop the app. The notification won't bother you again until after a reboot.

    I read about the workaround on another forum earlier.
    I did the force stop.....but the notification has just popped up again?

    Yeah, mine has started to do the same too. And even more annoyingly I think it's eating up my battery. My battery died within eight hours yesterday wilst sitting in my bag. Today I have the phone on my desk and in a charger (albeit at only 600 mA/h), yet my battery is slowly losing charge. As I can't download this thing yet or keep the app closed that's going to bugger my phone up until I can.

    Vodafone had the same issues. From what I read there is an option to remind in 30 days it stops the pop up!

    I have just spoken to Samsung customer support!!!
    Apparently they are aware of this issue.
    They have had numerous calls regarding it.
    They have told me to not worry!
    To try & install the update if prompted
    Or to cancel if unsuccessful.
    They reckon it should be sorted within next 48 hours.
    We'll see.......

    Thanks for all the info on this, it's very much appreciated!!!

    For now I've gone for Tobyjuggler's work round of the long press and force close, kicking myself that I hadn't tried that already! lol. Thanks man!!!

    Unfortunately the forceclose workaround hasn't worked for me!
    But hopefully it will be sorted soon.
    Funny that Whatsapp have issued an update to their app. According to Samsung, its not the fault of any app in particular!

    I was searching the solution on internet for this.... and just found out it happened in different areas as well.... =(
    Any news about the solution from Samsung in your areas?
    That icon is very annoying.
