EDIT: I know this was a short post and probably didn't cover the pro's and con's as well as I'd normally like too and for that I apologize. Just know that my POV on this is that I've been looking for a fully enclosed system for my phone with rugged protection. When I saw how loosely the rugged case fit it really turned me off.
A couple of pro's I give to Seidio are the holster (it's a much better system than otterbox IMHO), and the ability to easily peal off the rugged layer while keeping the phone safe from scratches in the smaller/lighter innocase II.

There's no guarantee what Otterbox will or will not release for the Incredible, but I just felt that I should hold-off to see what they have to offer. I also am keeping an eye out for case-mate's tough case. There are no ETA's on either otterbox or case-mate so if you decide to wait, you do so with no promises.

    --------------------------------Original Post-----------------------------------
My co-worker got his and I checked out today. I just canceled my order for one. It does not seem as well made as otterbox cases. I know many are happy with it but I wouldn't be :(.
His loosely fit on the innocase II and I didn't like the camera cover. This is just my opinion however.
    Just thought I'd share.

If it covers the Innocase II, I wouldn't get it either.

Ironically if I didn't have the silicon case from vzw I would consider the innocase II. But the way the rugged fits over it just doesn't suit me. I just posted this for anyone who's been on the fence like I was. I've owned an otterbox defender series and they are very different.

This wait on the Otterbox Defender is killing me....

I've owned a few Seidio cases and while they're decent and better than most, I still have gripes w/ overall construction - dust getting in and creaking mainly.

For now I have the simple Verizon high gloss red silicone cover and it's doing its job. But I'm one of those guys that keeps my phone in my lap in the car at times. And it's just a matter of time before I get out of my car and the phone falls face first on the pavement. There is no way this Verizon case is protecting my DInc. from things like that.

Otterbox, get on it!!! You have lots of patient bystanders waiting to spend their money.

My rugged fit snugly....but see my post here. The rubber sleeve ripped after 4 days of use. :( None of the port covers make it easy to use. Long story short, paying this much for a case I would expect better quality.

I love mine. Couldn't stand the camera flap and one day it pissed me off so bad that I ripped it off.

It's hard to compare it with the otterbox since they haven't released one. Once they do I'll have to check them out. The defender case that my coworker has for his Moto Droid is a joke. That wouldn't protect anything.

I can only hope that otterbox makes a great defender case. If not I will stick with my black silicone case. I was just glad to have seen and held one prior to getting mine. Like I said this is my opinion influenced by past experiences with Otterbox products. I posted this incase someone looking to Seidio as an otterbox defender alternative. Time will tell if and when we get a defender series.

I love the black high gloss silicone case to be honest. I was showing off my phone to someone the other day and she asked if I was going to get a case. I was like umm...this is the case! It doesn't add much bulk, covers the volume and power buttons and has just enough friction that it won't fall out of my hand and not so much that it won't slide out of my pocket. Course, I haven't dropped it yet, so no word on how it works for that yet.

I've posted my review of the Rugged combo elsewhere on this forum and I am happy with it. I have no problems with the silicone "loosely" fitting the Innocase, like the OP stated.
I didn't like the camera cover either, and am glad that it has been removed. It's a simple fix.

I have compared the Rugged directly to an iPhone 3GS Otterbox case, if there are differences in quality, I can't really see it.

One thing I have to point out: All of the Otterbox cases they've come out for smartphones in the last week have all been side entry. Meaning the phone has to come in and out of the holster sideways. This has been a deal killer for a lot of people.

In other words: Otterbox is not the lord and savior that their fans make them out to be. They only this past week came out with a case for the Nexus1... a phone that came out over 6 months ago? If you don't mind breaking your phone while you wait for the case for the Inc to come out, feel free to wait.

First, Colchicine I want to say thanks for your response. Not everyone needs or wants an otterbox.

The thing I liked about the Otterbox Defender series was the fact that it fully enclosed the phone. This is personal taste and is part of the reason I like it better. I'd actually say the Seidio was somewhere between the Commuter series and Defender Series in the otterbox line-up. It's as rugged and tough as the Defender series but doesn't offer the same enclosure. This is the difference I see, but Seidio doesn't intend for it to be like the defender. This is a convertible system that allows you the flexibility to choose between hardcore protection and everyday (light) use protection. While it's not what I'm looking for, I'm sure that there are many that want it (meaning the seidio system). As I said before, the Seidio Innocase II is really nice and I don't mean to knock it.

Otterbox holsters have always been a complaint for me as well. I think the holster on the 3gs Defender series was junk. There are pros and cons to every system. Each person has to figure out what works for them.

I hope you didn't take me to be this way. I really try to be objective in these things. I may be somewhat biased because I was pleased with my last otterbox case, but I actually ordered the seidio for my Incredible. After seeing my co-workers case I decided it wasn't for me. My post wasn't about being a fanboy or telling everyone that's Otterbox is the must have. I just wanted to share my experience with people who were riding the fence like me.
I may not have covered or explained things well enough and for that I do apologize. It's hard doing anything in a home with a newborn baby. :D

In any event Colchicine you make some good points and it's more stuff for people to consider. Some people want the protection and convenience of the Seidio system and others will prefer Case-Mate or Otterbox or some other case maker. I think it's just helpful when we all share our experience like I did with Seidio and as you did.
So as I started out the post, again thanks for pointing out more of the cons for otterbox and pros for Seidio that I didn't cover.

Well, I don't think it's going to offer fantastic drop protection. It seems like it's more built to keep the phone from getting scratched up. I also think it looks really good and helps give the phone a better grip/feel in my hands.
