I can receive picture messages but for some reason they just time out when sending them, I've attached a picture to a text and pressed send, but in Handcent the little timer just goes round and then about 20 minutes later it bleeps and tells me that it didn't go through.

Is this a problem with Handcent/Desire or T-Mobile?

Probably yopu dont have the MMS right configured.
Call your operator and ask for the right configs.

Silly question but does handcent reduce the picture size first, like the default messaging programme does?

I have the same problem but I'm on Orange.

I phoned Orange last night who went through the settings (which I had already got through thier website) and it still didn't work. The guy said he'll send me through a sim update which I think was his way of saying I can't help you anymore because my script doesn't tell me what to do next. I've not received any updates and still can't send any MMS.

The annoying thing is that I've sent and reveived messages in the past but it just appears to have stopped working.

I'm reluctant to do a hard reset as I rooted my Desire when I first got it to remove all the Orange crap off it.

    *EDIT*
Yes, Handsent does reduce the picture size

Handcent is dodgy IMO. My fiances hero no longer sends / receives mms since installing. Seen loads of threads about it. Some people cant send / receive even after uninstalation.

In a new message press menu and select attach, then pictures.

Pressing the menu button just brings up the keyboard (I'm using slideIT)

Edit: My apologies, it's working now, the options box appears over the keyboard. I'll try sending myself a MMS and see how I get on. .. Thanks.
