Just wondering if the latest update for SetCPU broke anyone's phone and required a nandroid backup to be performed?

I got the update lastnight and the phone started running really hot. This morning, no matter what kernel I installed it wouldn't go any higher than 528mhz. ???? But the temp was at 90-110F just sitting there.

I uninstalled...did battery pull...rebooted and re-installed with the same results. Only way to get the phone overclocked again was to revert to the backup I did before doing the upgrade.

Not sure if I had something weird happening, or if others have seen a problem with the latest update.

    Thanks
    Shayne

Try selecting autodetect instead of your actual model phone.

I had problems as did a few other Eris owners. My phone was running at 100% almost non stop. Extreme lag when changing screens, opening tray etc. Luckily I had made a back up a couple hours before upgrading.
