Help Setting a custom Notification ringtone

I've figured out how to set a custom ringtone for phone calls by putting a Ringtone folder on my phone storage and placing my mp3 there. That makes it come up in the Phone Ringtone list. I can't seem to figure out how to do the same thing for notification sounds. Specifically, I'd like to change my text message and voicemail notifications, but was hoping there was a way to use the same custom one for all types of notifications. Is there a folder to look for that has all of the notification sounds in it that I could place the custom mp3 I want to use for notification sounds so that it shows up in the list?
