Setting up my new phone for different #?Support

    My new DroidX is on the FedEx truck and should be here anytime. I ordered this as my 12month upgrade for one of our lines in the family plan. However, ithey ordered it under a different line/# than mine.

    So how do I set it up for my number rather than the number it was ordered on? Hoping it can be done pretty quick (over the phone) rather than going into a Verizon store so I can start using it today.

    Just call verizon customer service. It will have to be activated on the number it was ordered for first....Then they'll help you to activate it on the number you want. Assuming you are an administrator on the account.

    Cool...Thanks! So once it is activated does it take awhile before everyting is working...email, navigation, etc?

    once activated, it should start working within 5 mins. once mine was activated, it started working right away.

    the tech on the phone said that it could take up to an hour but it was right away.
