I have a SF Orange unlocked rooted (so it is telling me... still can't su to root dir).
-I'm in the USA and trying to use AT&T sim card as they are my service provider. The phone only wants to try to connect and register with T-mobile, and shows no other networks. I know its not a signal problem because I've tried to connect it all around town.
should I re root? I have spoken to AT&T and T-moble... both say the problem is with the other (what finger pointing! ;-) )
    Any Ideas? - Thanks

Ok, first of all you need to know that the Orange San Francisco/ZTE Blade only works on the following frequencies:

    UMTS 900/2100 MHz
    GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz

Your network AT&T use mostly 850mhz transmitters along with a small amount on 1900mhz.

Im going to asume that the only AT&T masts within range of you are on their main frequency of 850mhz which your San Francisco cant use. The reason it finds the T-Mobile network is because they use 1900mhz for their GSM coverage, and the San Francisco works on that frequency.

You will need a handset that supports 850mhz to use AT&T
