shipping notification....General

    This will probably turn out to be some sort of mistake, but I wanted to share this with everyone. So I called vzw today to preorder the incredible....I am coming from a BB tour which I had to replace 5 times, so a rep said she would notate my account for a 2 year upgrade when I found a phone I wanted, therefore couldn't just orfer online....anyway, called in tallked to a rep, he said he saw where the note was made and got my order lined up..then he said with 2 day shipping, your phone should be in by wednesday....I said, whoa you better check that cause its not out yet. He said oh, you're right. You will get it on the 29th..and I thought nothing of it....

    Well, I get home tonight and I get a vzw shipping notification, check fedex with the tracking # given and it says picked up in oxnard, ca. To be delivered on 4/21....

    So did the rep just order me a moto droid by accident, or am I by some big screw up going to get an incredible THIS WEDNESDAY....(If vzw doesn't catch their mistake and recall it.....

    i got the same email (i also ordered by phone) so i figured the same thing, must be a HUGE mistake and i had to be sure that there wasn't a droid on the way to my house!!! i just got off the phone with customer service and they confirmed that my droid incredible is being delivered tomorrow!!! wooohooo!!!

    there have been several reports of Verizon screwing up...

    I agree it will be interesting to see what happens the next couple days...

    Although to be honest, IF they really do ship you one... I'd E-bay it I guarantee some idiot would give you like 1500$ for it...

    The same thing will happen with Apple products and MS products and all products such as this, they get picked up for delivery and are held for delivery until the day it goes on the truck. Happened with everyones iPhone 3GS.

    I pre ordered at BB, but because of this thread just called Verizon 800 number the woman tells me I cant pre order until its released and it doesnt release till May? WTF why do they let some people even answer the dang phones

    I ordered mine at 8:30 this morning and the rep also informed me of the 2 day delivery time. I thought he may be wrong because he had no idea that pre-ordering even began today. I didn't say a word and am hoping for the best. I didn't receive an e-mail though.

    4/21 delivery date...tracking has it in my state...2 day shipping bleah!

    Update: just went to track again...it is on its way to the sorting facility right now...i will be impressed when it says out for delivery when i wake up lol

    Wow that's interesting! I went through hoops to cancel my preorder I placed this morning. I did a 2 year contract instead of a 1 year contract and there was no way they could switch it for me. So Now I have to wait till like tomorrow till I can preorder it again.

    That would we sweet if people got there phones a week early!

    I called this morning to place an order and the csr told me that there was no SKU to place the order and that she would have to call me back when it became available. I'm tempted to call back and complain that I've heard of others that have been able to place orders over phone.

    if this is true, i might be canceling my preorder and sweet talking some CSR's on the phone

    did everyone just call the main verizon number?

    I called today cause im returning my droid I got 3 weeks ago and getting the incredible instead. I asked if I could order it today and she looked and said "thats interesting it says it is in stock now it didnt say that yesterday" so im thinking they really are starting to ship some of them out I didnt order mine today though I had to ship the droid back and wait for them to get it before I can order the Incredible :(

    I called the (800) 256-4646 number. Had to because I traded my Storm 1 which I had since a week after launch for a Droid then traded that a week later for the Storm 2. A week later I went back to the Storm 1. On line it showed that I only had the Storm 1 for four months rather than 1 year 5 months. I called last week and was told I was no longer eligible for the one year upgrade after the second exchange. Spoke to him for awhile and he notated my account that I could upgrade for the $299 with the $100 rebate.

    Is it possible that Verizon will request FedEx to hold the package at the distributing facilities until the true release date or is FedEx pretty much bound to deliver?

    Grats to all you who ordered by phone! Send pics with confirmation!

    If this dream does come true for you guys, what do you think Verizon is doing about the rest of us who pre-ordered online/in stores? We just have to sit and wait? What a cluster F.

    I just called VZW (611) and they told me that they could not order the phone and it was only availible pre-order via the web...wtf? I have a notation on my account for 2 yr pricing even tho I'm only 18 months into a 2 year contract. I'm the secondary line on a family share plan. You guys that ordered via phone was it just an operator that guided you through buying online or did the csr on the phone actually place the order for you?

    I ordered over the phone as well and the CSR told me that I would receive the phone on April the 21st. I was shocked and asked if this was %100 true and I was told, "Yes we have them here in stock and we are shipping them out upon order." Fedex tracking confirms that it is in route. So glad i didn't do the preorder online. :D I will update as the Fedex tracking changes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Did I mention that April 21st is my birthday!

    That's odd because I also ordered over the phone and the rep told me my phone will be shipped on the 29th for delivery on the 30th.

    When did you call? I called around 9:00 this morning eastern time. Fedex tracking states my Incridible left the origin facility at 1:33 pm. Around mid day I was so nervous that it was some type of mistake (I thought they might have sent me a different phone) I actually called back and another CSR looked at my account and confirmed that my Incridible had been purchased and was out for shipment.

    I called around 4pm. I'm just wondering why certain people are having their device shipped so much earlier...doesn't make sense. I'm going to call back and tell them about the reports of early shipping here and see what they say...

    Well I just called the 800# & the guy I spoke to said that he couldn't finish the order until 4/29 cuz they couldn't get the tax to work right now! I told him that defeated the purpose of ordering now.
    Seriously the inconsistency of customer service is out of control. That said I'll try again tomorrow & see what the next rep says hehehehe

    I also tried to call and order over the phone. The CSR said that she is not seeing it in stock and so could not order it. WHACK! :\
