Should I return HTC DESIRE HD for a Nexus S when it comes out?Support

    Hi Guys, I am a HTC Desire HD user...Yes I know, ive come over to the darkside lol...I need you advice please. Im unhappy with my HTC Desire HD, esp the volume. I am thinking, despite HD receiving better reviews then Galaxy S to either get the Galaxy S OR wait for the nexus s which apparently is round the corner...If i go for the Nexus S, do you think it would be a gamble giving the HD back? Surely the Nexus S will be a bit better then the Desire HD?

    No. Don't do it.

    Samsung are not to be trusted after the huge mess that is the Galaxy S.

    I'd tend to think its worth waiting, I mean we don't even know the Nexus S specs yet!

    Samsung's hardware is good.But their software sucks.
    Since Nexus S software will be completely done by google and it will be stock one without any touch wiz crap on top......i think... it is better to wait a couple of months after the Nexus S comes out.....take all the reviews and ensure every feature works.........GPS especially........

    Also ensure that updates come by OTA and not the KIES crap.....

    Touchwiz is not a problem. If you don't like it LauncherPro goes quite happily on top.

    The issues with the software are at a much lower level, the GPS and Filesystem/lag issues are largely firmware/driver related.

    Anyone who thinks the software on the nexus s will be 'entirely done by google' is kidding themselves. Samsung will be heavily involved and their incompetent engineers and managers will find a way to mess things up. Not even Google will be able to fully counter this.

    I'm not particularly deterred from buying another Samsung providing the hardware is right. As per the previous poster being a stock Android experience should alleviate some of the difficulties.
