So far this thing is blowing my dinc out of the water in the signal strength department. I live where I basically have no service (rarely below -100 db) and I am doing side by side comparisons and it isn't even close. The dx is loading pages snappy when my dinc isn't even getting 3g.

I actually haven't made a call with it yet. I don't make many calls (probably less than an hour a month)

I have more bars than I did on my Incredible, but the actual reading is about the same. Granted I never had issues with reception on the Incredible besides it now showing full bars, but that never bothered me.

i'm actually less then pleased with my signal strength. mine is never holding a steady amount of bars, drops from 3g constantly. i'm hoping it's just a problem in my condo, will find out tomorrow when i'm back in the office.

Db's are actually the same. The signal indicator shows more bars on the X though. My incredible also has a louder earpiece and speakerphone. My opinion but i like the audio on the Inc better.

This doesn't make sense...you say rarely below -100 which would mean you have a pretty strong signal...Less than -100 means its getting weaker. Remember, the lower the number the stronger the signal.

Please, when comparing signal do so from the field trial mode:

    dial ##DEBUG (33284)

    Then choose 1x Engineering

Bar's mean nothing (ask iPhone users ;) )

I compare by having a fast 3g connection on one phone and no 3g connection on another phone. Scientific enough for me lol

I mean the signal numbers are rarely less than 100. As in the signal is usually numbers higher than 100. I'm aware how the system works. My apologies for not making it more clear.
