Hi! I'm new to the forums and i have searched for a similar problem to mine for weeks and havent found anything, so here goes.

For about 3 weeks ago i decided to root my phone and install cyanogenmod on it. After some failed attempts with installing it i tried to flash it back to stock but the stock version works really buggy, Anyway that is not my main problem. That is the fact that my phone refuses to recognize my SIM-Card. I tried with a brand new SIM-card and i tried them both in a different phone and they worked just fine. Also when i go into settings baseband model says unknown and IMEI says unknown too. Is there anyone who can help me? My phone is useless now...

Hello furreee,

From what your description suggests, I'm afraid I don't have any good news. It appears you have corrupted your EFS folder.

The EFS folder is where information about your phones network configuration and other non user settings are stored. Corrupting it is sometimes caused by flashing ROMs and is a risk of flashing any ROM. It is the flashing process that can cause it and is not the fault of the ROM you flashed.

Even more unfortunately unless you have a back up of your EFS folder then your phone is going to need a software repair with a specialist piece of equipment known as a "Jtag" and and expert who knows what they are doing.

Until then, from your description, your phone will only connect to anything by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or NFC. It will not work with any cellular connection.
