lag lag lag lag lag....as you can see mine is the lag lag lag lag lag
then apply the lagfix
yeah, it's so easy theres no reason not to do it!
Droid Den - Phone Guide: How To Root The Samsung Galaxy S And Fix Lag - Droid Den
What lag fix? Where is it?
I installed this app, rooted and applied the lag fix. But there was still lag with most apps
Lag fix worked wonders here.
I have done it twice and ended up dong a factory reset twice, phone wouldn't boot, hung on LOgo
Again what is the lag fix and where do you get it?
The android market - It is listed as "RyanZA's One Click Lag Fix".
More info HERE and HERE
you need to leave it for a bit.. I thought it hung up as well, but I left it for a few minutes and then it booted fine.. try again I would say
No, my phone was definately b0rked, it wasn't running the fsck on boot.
The good news is that that was with the old method, I successfully used the apk this evening
The worst thing for me is the GPS problem. Nothing else comes close. Yes, I did apply the lag fix, and have been very please with the result over the past couple of weeks, but to be honest lag was never a big concern.
GPS issues. That's the only serious problem for me.
The only time I used the GPS it was VERY accurate and reliable.. don't know why others have such problems. It picks up the signal emidiately as well.
Mine suddenly freezes on me, and nothing i push wakes the phone up... I have to take out the battery and put it back in and restart it...
I was told by another user that he experiences this too, and that the fix should be released on Froyo...
Other then that it works perfectly... Even the GPS and I live in a remote place in Canada...
My gps is fine, my main complaint is poor battery life and low call volume
The Bell version (Canada) has a full plastic case. It feels very cheap for such a high end smartphone.
everyone says it feels cheap but it doesnt. By the way the canada version has the same back as the us version just without the google logo
The OS, in general.
the camera aint as good as my nokia x6 was
My problem for now is GPS and I dont know where to get the original ROM in case I rooted and get some problem
My only main complain is that its easy to ruin the IMEI and product code data...
I get this too. Happens irregularly but is very annoying, especially as I have to remove my quite brittle feeling cover to get the back off. Hopefully the update Froyo will cure the freezing.
Easily the GPS Issues.
For me without doubt the single worst thing about this phone is
Its so bright even at lowest setting is that it makes it practically useless to surf online on this phone where many websites have white backround. Such a pain in the eyes. Waste of money!
I have checked the Iphone 4 and you can set brightness to very low in that phone. Wonder why the developers didnt give us option to take the brightness further in this phone.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S from Bell (Canada). One thing..ok maybe more than 1 one thing I hate about my phone is ..
- Crappy or non existent push email (man..I miss my BB)
- Crappy GPS
- Lag (even after lagfix)
- Crappy camera
- Crappy battery
- No LED
- No realtime facebook notifications
Sorry..had to vent!! I really like the phone, hope they get some of the stuff fixed ASAP, as I am losing my patience. I might just go back to my BB and wait until they resolve all of these issues.
