I'm using the standard Android 2.3.3 contacts app. Periodically, I'll export the contacts to the SD card and copy them to my PC for backup.
Here's the question - At the start, the file (roughly 700 contacts) was around 1MB in size. Then, suddenly, about a year ago, the exported file abruptly ballooned to 5MB, even though it was nearly the same number of contacts. Even more puzzling, about 6 months ago the exported file shrank dramatically to about 160KB.
I have no idea... Watching the export, the progress bar shows it working its way through all 700-odd contacts.
Is there a way to open the exported VCF file to see if it is complete?
Does anyone have any idea why the size has changed so dramatically?
