Has anyone else had the problem of not being able to use Skype while on WiFi? After I connected one time, I clicked on Skype and it wouldn't let me unless I was using the mobile network. . . I was wondering if anyone else had this issue.

Skype only works using the Verizon network.
It will not work using Wifi.

Well that's lame, because I use Skype a lot for instant messaging, more than calling actually.

It's the opposite of the iPhone app. Very disappointing.

This drives me crazy. I can understand VZ/Skype deciding that you can't use Skype over WiFi, but I do not get why they can't be running at the same time. Generally, I want skype running at all times.. so it basically renders the wifi ability of my phone useless. I really hope they fix this at some point.

Anybody have any idea why AT&T and Verizon have opposite policies regarding Skype?

I feel you should be able to do both, but if I had my choice I'd take being able to do it over the network before doing it over wifi. It's basically a free way of calling people and the quality is just as good. My friends iPhone will only allow him to do it when on wifi instead of 3g, that kinda sucks IMO.

Hopefully they enable it so you can do either one you want, but for now I am happy they decided to do it over 3g first.
