SMS Backup

After losing all my text messages earlier in the week I'm looking at an app to automatically back mine up. Just got down SMS Backup + which appears to work well and does it automatically to my Gmail account, but I've got a query.

Does anybody know of any apps like this though that would 'sync' and remove them from my backup when I remove them from my phone?
