I tried to do a search but it's a needle in a haystack.

Sometimes I'll get a text containing a link but it gets split up into a second text rendering the link broken. Is this an Android issues or a Messaging app issue?

Not that I've heard of. Is a URL shortener an option for whoever is sending them to you?

If you are on a cdma carrier there is a limitation of 160 characters per sms message, not any way around that unless there is a sms app that can put the messages back together.

Send any SMS with link as MMS and you won't get truncated.
