SMS Character Limit

Hi,

When typing an SMS I get no warning when I approach, or pass 160 characters, am I missing something?

Yes you do when you get to the last 10 characters a little black box appears top right in the text window

Actually, I've noticed this only appears in portrait and not landscape view.

Some people type messages in landscape view, as the keyboard is larger and the counter box doesn't appear whilst the keyboard is visible!

Not sure why!?!
