Question for all of you: any of you have Google Voice installed?
Because, for me at least, only when I uninstalled it (so the service never started up on it's own) did I experience a DRASTIC improvement in battery life. I tried turning off sync, and that didn't work. I literally had to completely remove it.
I made this same post somewhere else:
Do widgets that update badly drain your battery? - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum
But the summary is that I was getting 10-12hrs on my new Evo without doing a single thing. Ever since I uninstalled Google Voice from my phone, I've been experiencing 30-36hrs of uptime depending on usage. This is syncing 4 email accounts, weather, and with GTalk running a few hours during the day. Dunno what it is about Google Voice, but something funky is going on.
Give it a try. If you don't have it installed already, I have no idea what your deal is
All I can offer is what worked for sure on mine and my wife's (she has a Samsung Moment).
