Working Sod Fix From Dalingrin - RootzWiki

Read the thread and decide for yourself if you want to install this, o/w I suspect it'll be part of alpha 3.

    • Download the patch to your TP. (I use drop box)
    • Make sure you have at least 50% battery for anything you install from recovery
    • Boot into recovery (power button menu)
    • Create a backup (!)
    • mounts... format cache (optional)
    • advanced... delete Dalvik cache (optional)
    • advanced... fix permissions (good precaution)
    • reboot

First start always takes longer if clearing caches. Expect a two minute delay.

"The new kernel, besides some other fixes, has got working battery stats (temperature, current, etc)"

Installed fine for me. We'll see how it works tonight. :D

DO NOT FLASH THIS OVER ALPHA 3. :D

    Just to update...

Installed fix, then had no sound.
Reflashed rom, rebooted, then flashed SOD fix, then Market didn't work. It wanted me to add an account. (?!)
Reflashed gApps, then everything worked and no SOD since. :D

I changed the title on this and stickied it for now.

This includes several of the alpha 3 patches so it worth installing until we have a update. :D

Do a hard reset (hold power & home buttons down until it restarts.... about 30 seconds).

Flashing is what got you CM7 in the first place. Just do it again. :D

(copy files to cminstall folder and run acme installer again)
