    Update: This has been solved.
    Response from Amazon.com
\sdcard\Android\Data\com.amazon.venezia\cache any file starting with vnz is safe to delete.

I have a few apps from the Amazon App store that downloaded and for whatever reason couldn't complete installing on my phone (An LG Optimus V). When I go to My Apps, it shows them as ready to install, so I'm guessing the apk or whatever is hanging out on my phone somewhere taking up space. How do I remove these without uninstall?

I am rooted, have SU, Root explorer and Titanium Backup.

    Thanks

Use a file manager like Astro and delete them?

Where are they? I've searched using Root Explorer and have been unable to find them. I've tried browsing and haven't been able to find them that way either.

When you go to "My Apps" in the Amazon app? If so the app store doesn't think it's installed. You might hit install again to see if installs, then uninstall it once you see it on your phone (most likely it's not on your phone anyway).

I have not rooted my tablet. I have a program that I paid for (Docs to Go) which could not be installed on my tablet due to Docs to Go thru Market being preloaded. I've gotten them to refund the $$, but it still looks like it's loaded. I'd like to see it removed from my list of "updatable" programs on the Amazon App Store. How does this work?

The install files are located in /sdcard/Android/data/com.amazon.venezia/cache

You can delete them all, if the app doesn

Yup, thank you. Finally got a reply from Amazon. I was mostly worried they were in my internal storage.

OK, I deleted the files, but I still see the apps under the 'My Apps' heading...is there a way to clear that?

I know this is pain, but install the apps listed under My Apps, then uninstall them. They are gone from your phone and gone from the Amazon Appstore. However, if you sign out of the Appstore and sign back in, they appear again under My Apps.

Yes, there is. Go to Amazon's web page. Go to Your Account Page. Scroll down to Digital Content and click on "Your Apps and Devices". Click the "Actions" drop down button for whichever app you want removed from your list and select "Delete this app".

This will remove the app from your account and it will no longer show up in the "My Apps" section of the AppStore. Be aware, though, that once you delete the app from your account your status as owning it is gone. This means that if you ever want to reinstall that app you will have to purchase it again (at which point the Free App Of The Day won't be free anymore).
