Thought I'd ask about a few more issues I've noticed the last couple of weeks:

Exchange email synching: Although my email does come through succesfully into the standard email client through the 'corporate' account I added to blur, the sync is not complete. The read/unread state of mails is not synched back and drafts are only saved locally. This all worked perfectly on my last Android phone (galaxy s) and is a little disappointing.

Contact pictures: Facebook is my main source of contact pictures and when initially adding it as a blur account it pulled in contact pictures well. However, it does not seem to update them. Despite the social networking widget successfully picking up updates no pictures have updated. This is certainly at least a week after some have changed.... There also seems to be no way to force a refresh.

Recent call list: The recent call list in the dialler seems buggy. Sometimes although displaying the correct details for call times and whether they were incoming/outgoing/missed the rest of the information is mixed up. This will show completely incorrect pictures, contact names and phone numbers from calls elsewhere in the list. It is as if someone has shuffled (or failed to sort) these details... Changing the drop down to something else, then back to the default of 'all' corrects the issue (temporarily).

Anyone else seen any of these, have any solutions?

    Market, MArket, Market.

Use the MArket to install apps that will do the job better than the built-in ones. You have a smartphone and that is what you do with smartphones.

    Come on, be serious here.

I'm talking about issues with the dialler, contact application and the built in push email client. This isn't a widget doesn't do what it's supposed to, these are core applications.

(and no, I don't want to have to pay

...and while I'm replying, installing something different from the market is not the first solution to every problem. That advice is starting to wear on me

If you say it is not working I can only believe you, but AFAIK other people have it working. Are you sure you have checked every single option to make it work?

As for dialer, there are great dialers in the Market and I can tell you most users use 3rd party ones instead of the built-in ones.

    Other people have _what_ working.

The contact picture syncing/updating? The proper exchange sync (read states are they key thing to making it usable)...? Would anyone with an MS2 care to speak up.

I could try another dialler, but given that the dialler integrates into the contacts app as well then how seamless is it. Again though, I don't see why I wouldn't ask the question to other MS2 owners before trying to replace it.

I'll take a look at another dialler.

Could someone with an MS2 who uses Exchange please confirm whether when they read a mail on their phone, it is marked as read in their exchange mailbox on other devices (eg Outlook).

That's the one that's bothering me the most. Have raised it with Motorola but nothing back yet.

Anyone who has any thoughts on this....?
