    Hello everyone!

    I am super excited since I've recently purchased the Android Incredible from the Verizon Online store. To reassure my worries, however, I have a couple of questions. First, I bought this phone through my mom's line because she is the primary line (discounts).

    When the phone arrives, do I simply activate it on my number? If so, I believe my old phone becomes a "clean" phone? I want to give my old phone to my younger brother.

    Also, once I activate the phone on my line will it prompt me for a data plan on my number? I don't want to mistakenly put a data plan on my mom's line.

    Thanks for reading my post and I will most likely have a lot more questions! This is my first smartphone and I am ecstatic about the potential of mobile Web and cool apps. ^_^

    I'm afraid I can't help with your questions, being on the wrong side of the Atlantic, but I'm sure someone over in the Verizon sub-forum can. I'll move this topic over there.

    Have you looked into our HTC Incredible forum, btw?

    If you are doing it yourself, i believe you first have to activate it on her line. It wont allow you to activate it on your number.
    But after that, you can start phone swapping.
    Might be easier to call and have a rep do it for you. If you explain what you are doing, they should be able to bypass activating it on your moms line.

    Yes, the data plan goes on and comes off automatically.

    Like Cableguynoe said it,first need to be activated on her line by dialing *228 option 1 make sure you enter her number and have your customer order #. Once activated remove the battery from your Incredible and put the battery back on your moms phone and dial *228 from her phone and enter her phone # when asked and let it reboot when is done. Then you put the battery back in the Incredible do the *228 option 1 again and now you enter your phone number and that should work.
