I had one of these for my blackberry. Was a simple box that that plugged into the car charger cable. It was great because I always had an accessible battery no matter where I was.

Thought I found one on Fommy but almost a month after getting my money still nothing..thats another story.

    Any help is appreciated folks.

I have the seidio external battery charger which can be charged by either AC Power or USB cable. I can charge in the car using a cigarette lighter plug with USB slot (which you can pick up at Wal Mart, etc...)

Would that be the "multifunction" one on their website?

I've got this Lenmar Kit and it works great, mostly. The AC adapter doesn't work at all but the external battery works great and the USB car charger is outstanding.

I originally bought it to use with my Archos 605 for plane trips but it works well at extending my Incredible too.

Edit:Ooops, after reading your post again I realized you're looking for something different. My bad.

No one makes one that small like we had for the BB batteries, I miss it dearly.

The closed thing I found was the SEIDIO multifunction - but have never used it in that way because its just so much bigger than the little BB one.

The BB one is easy to take part, just not easy to modify into charging the Incredible battery :(

    Well thanks guys.
Again, there is something close on fommy but I cant seem to get my merchandise about one month later.

Seems like someone could make this relatively cheap, I would think it would sell.

PS - you can cut the plastic shelf off in the BB battery charger and then use a rubber band both ways (long and short) to hold the battery in place.

Please validate Polarity Direction before doing any modifications and charging the battery. I am not responsible for anything that happens to you; good, bad, horrible or indifferent - you are on your own and doing so at your own risk.

You can just google fommy and go to products.
WARNING HERE though, they took my money almost a month ago. Delayed the first shipment without notifying me. Claimed would ship in June 14th...still nothing. I am very very dissapointed. Sent another email today.

I had googled, couldn't decipher what product you were pointing to and asked for the link.

I guess I am over it - the SEIDIO charger is the one that looks like the AMZER charger and it allows USB charging.

eitherway - there is no USB charger like the BB one that I have found and it stinks :(

    Good Luck!

I don't think this one does it, so maybe you did NOT miss anything. But it looks alot like the SEIDIO charger.

The SEIDIO charger will allow you charge Via USB from what I can tell - have never used it.

Oddly enough, that AMZER charger, doesnt READ the battery information pins - so thats disappointing.

Here is the link to the SEIDIO charger information -

Multi Function Battery Charger For use with HTC Droid Incredible/EVO 4G

of course, the cable you need, to plug into the charger and your computer or power supply is NOT provided. USB A-A cables are hard to find locally but Monoprice can source them.

Yes, that's the one I was referring to (also linked above).

It does indeed charge by USB (there is a selector switch on the side for AC/USB) and works well in the car - just brought mine out to the Jeep to test it.

I have no size reference for your previous BB charger, but this one is roughly the size of a pack of smokes, a little thicker than a desk of cards. The upside is that you can bring it in and fold out the prongs to make it a wall charger for both an external battery AND/OR your phone itself. It's also "upgradeable" to charge batteries for different devices using accesory trays.

All in all it's turned out to be a very nice little unit.
