I saw this article on engadget.com and it says "global GSM / EDGE and 900 /1900 / 2100 WCDMA and HSPA capabilities".

Is it possible to use it on gsm network ? I'm trying but it says invalid sim and no settings to switch from lte/cdma to gsm

The software currently on the phone does not support it, but in theory the hardware does. It was rumored that a future update would turn this into a world phone, but I doubt we will see it any time soon, especially with their botched V5 upgrade.

even if they update it to a word phone i doubt that anyone will take the time to sim unlock it... ive got a touch pro 2 for verizon thats just rotting away because nobody with verizon wants to buy it and verizon wont unlock the sim for me... and the sim unlock websites are too sketchy.. ive seen too many people never get the code to unlock it after paying for it
