Hm, I'm not sure. Did you try this --> Install Adobe Flash Player on Jelly Bean devices | How To - CNET I suggested it in another thread here on AF for the S3.

I'm not looking for adobe flash (at least, not now), I'm trying to update my phone to Jelly Bean. By "flash" counter, I meant that notice in settings-"about phone" that shows "custom-flash 1"

I apologize I provided you with the wrong link, lol. Use this file with ODIN to restore your phone to Jellybean unrooted. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1919919&highlight=unroot

    Ellisker,

I wrote an app just for this purpose :).

Check-out my OTA Verifier app (free, in the Play Market; see the link in my signature).

It should tell you what component on your device is failing the assert check that the OTA's updater-script file is evaluating.

You just point the app to the OTA .zip file that you are trying to flash / install and it will analyze the same things that the OTA does.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Cheers!
