great news, but DATES, I want specific dates. Nothing against original poster, good find, but I know I am not the only one feeling that way.

Dates would be nice but Sprint has that large telco "Keep everything secret" stick up it's butt...

This is nice i guess. I just wish they would focus all their efforts on 2.0. Just my humble opinion

Efforts by manufactures and carriers to make improvements is always welcome in my book. My concern is that they are patching the "race" bug that allows us to tether without rooting. I am sure this will go away.

The one where some exchange events and others are an hour off on the calendar. It's driving me nutz.

Oooh, then I should be ok. I don't use exchange events at all. Hoping the SMS issue is addressed so I can dump this task manager and the auto kill on the sms app. Oh and the BT issues

Good news. The DST bug is very annoying, so it would be great if this update fixes that. I assume the reference to messaging means that the battery drain from the stock messaging app will be fixed too. Waiting awhile longer for 2.0 is no big deal to me. Just patch the bugs now and let HTC have time to do a more thorough QA job on the 2.0 update.

I got a call from HTC saying the same thing. Just checked, and not yet, but based on the call, I'd expect it really soon.

The gentleman I got the VM from said he wasn't sure if all customers would get it today, or if it was a slow roll-out.

I really dont want the update. Oddly, I have my phone working great and its rooted. I love the tethering. Is there any way to prevent the update on my phone?

I want to be able to use the default sms app without worry, so I'm looking forward to this.

I know there were talks about how this update would be issued...was there ever any fact on how it will be? Will it be over the air or do I have to go to the Sprint store?
