    This is for all you hardcore Linux users (or wannabe's like me who dont want to have to pay for Windows and their shxtty upgrades)

    Guide to rooting Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE (SCH-L300)

    Download victory_root_linux.tar.gz

    Copy to Home Folder

    Extract to Home Folder ({/home/{youruser/})

    Open Terminal

    Change Directory to Home Folder {cd ~/}

    type "ls" (to list contents of /home/{youruser/ so you can verify that folder: "victory_root_linux" exists

    Change Directory to "victory_root_linux" {cd victory_root_linux}

    type "ls" (to list contents of folder)
    verify that these files are there:

    If all is well continue on to the next step

    type "./root"

    read the text (maybe you will learn something)

    after a few minutes your device should be rooted

    All thanks should go to niemasd because he found the root method for windows and I just transcribed for linux

    Just use my other rooting thread with the JB. I can't remember what I did to get this to work. U must be sudo root on PC, that's the vest I can come up with.
