Ok ...so dod a little digging. I am not posting anything official ...let's call it opinion

my opinion is that Sprint retail locations probably do reserve lists and not pre orders. They "may" even have separate allocation inventory than online sales and will get units in store for the wait list and maybe even walk ins....

so, if you didn't get in on the pre order go get on the waiting list at your local sprint store.

I went into RadioShack yesterday and although they're not taking pre-orders, they'll be getting it on the 27th so you should be able to get one in store. And RadioShack charges less than the Sprint stores.

Mr. Ed I pre ordered at my local sprint store and it seems the people there, employees he had different opinions on what day I may pick up my s4. One guy said I might be abke to get it friday the 26th, another said I can only get it after tge official release of the 27th.

question is , will I be able to buy it on Friday the 26th if they have it in? Or is there a policy that will prevent them from selling it early even if they have tge phone in stock.

Typically you cant pick it up until release day, the 27th

What is throwing everyone off is releases are supposed to be on fridays' so some may be speculatingvthat the date may be changed

I would be surprised if they even have it then. With the S3, I didn't think it was in stores for days if not weeks after and then only Sprint stores.

I might be wrong :> waking up on coffee right now.

A sell out is relative to your allotment, so no way to know the relevance of "sold out".

No matter how or why, the Sprint preorder "has" sold out. :>

:D Did you wait for the countdown to finish and order yours at midnight like me? I was able to get one for my wife and one for myself. Hopefully we'll get it before next Saturday like the status says. If not, it's ok because our case(s) won't get here till May anyways.

absolutely incorrect...we had plenty of s3's in store at launch. It was a few days prior to sell out and more came in each day.

This roll-out seems different. Less stock appears available up front and only 16GB versions are apparently ready to ship (based on no 32GB models up for preorder, it seems).

Almost like Samsung is doing a soft rollout. Perhaps from a supply chain stand point they are starting too early, but we will know that soon enough. None the less, that would seem very un-Samsung.

No I actually forgot about it but remembered right when I woke up and preordered right away, so a few hours after it started.

I already have my 64gb card so I want mine now. Once I see what it's like I am probably going to sell my iPhone 5 64gb but not sure yet.

I wonder if they pushed the date up so not as many people buy the HTC One and to get sales from the next iPhone in June roughly?

I was >< this close to getting the One until I saw the S4 coming soon.

Makes sense. Definitely different than the S3, whatever the reason.
