I'll check it out, thanks!
Oh, this is messed up! There's 4 or 5 apps by the same name, but different creators, clearly trying to take advantage in some way.
Can you tell us the maker of the correct one?
Edit: There are 9 of them, but only one Apps Installer
Unless I have the wrong one, you are incorrect, my good man.

Ok so summing this all up Sprint is updating there intercept possibly in December.
Virgin Mobile is owned by Sprint. So Virgin Mobile might and hopefully get the 2.2 update sometime next year!! That's kinda what im thinking from everything i have been reading.
Well as long as we get 2.2 soon I'll be happy.
awesome, My wife, mom and sister have the intercept and it is giving android a bad name around here. I can't have that since I am on an Evo.
posted on another forum on dec 8th
"Just got off of the phone with Sprint Tech Support after noticing that the website now lists the Intercept as shipping with Android 2.2
After talking the Technician I found out the following info:
New Samsung Intercepts are shipping with Android 2.2, all of us that already own them will have to wait, I was told that they had the Android 2.2 update ready and because of a leak someone got ahold of they screwed up alot of phones so they pulled the update back. But I was also reassured that the update will be out in the next 1-2 weeks and would of been out already if not for the leak. It will be an OTA update and is currently just waiting to be released. According to the Tech, they had to replace and repair alot of phones because of this leak and that is what the hold up is."
I have the intercept for VM as well.. I'm guessing i'll probably end up having to root it to get 2.2.
Why would we have to root it just to get the upgrade?
This info may indeed be true BUT similar info from these sources regardless of device have been notoriously inaccurate. Enough so that I automatically take it as BS. I have yet to see one person claim to have a stock 2.2 Intercept, nor have I seen complaints about an official or leaked update bricking phones.
I had to take my POS Intrcept to the Sprint store today because it drops over half of my calls... The store manaher told me to expect the 2.2 update next week.
From the Phandroid front page that many users around here never see.
Samsung Intercept Froyo Update Coming Tomorrow? | Android Phone Fans
Hoping it's true and that all Intercept users get a great early Christmas present!
WOOT - I hope it fixes the Suckiness!
Hope it doesn't take long to port to VM
This will be awesome! My wife will be extremely happy.
No live wallpapers or flash? That stinks. But still good news overall. I hope this also pertains to Virgin Mobile USA.
Yeah I hope it does too!
This would be so great! I got a market update yesterday and was wondering about 2.2. Hopefully the phone won't lag so bad after this, that or it could slow it down more I guess. Thanks for the news, Pasta!
called and confirmed!! I could take it to the store today to get the update or wait for it to get pushed to my phone today or within the next couple days!! SOOOO EXCITED!
From the horses mouth:
Samsung Intercept: Samsung Intercept Maintenance Releases
On mine it says up to date.
It may take a few days. Usually the updates are rolled down regionally.
Somebody port this to VM ASAP
A video would also be cool
I'm sure Live Wallpapers will be hacked to work like it is on 2.1
