For those of you that still use you Evo V 4G and didn't hear the official news, Sprint is shutting down it's WiMax network idling more than 6,000 sites. This will include officially launched 4G WiMax markets as well as substantial service sites (protection sites) to be idled by the end of 2015. There is no word as of right now if Sprint plans on deploying LTE on these sites or just terminate lease agreements.
I would like to believe that any of you that are still using your 3VO because its a solid device would be entitled to a free LTE capable phone once the WiMax network is shut down.
