Here is how it goes and how bad people are wanting the new EVO in Fresno CA. So I go into the local store for some accessories and there are no EVO'S. I ask the salesman if they took them off display because so many people wanted. He replies that someone shattered the doors and took both working display models. How about that.....would that be considered a "dine and dash".

Probably existing Evo owners who are pissed because they couldn't get replacements before their 30 days run out.

WHY? Wouldn't the ESN's be logged and the phones could just be tracked/locked out of activation? :)

People who steal things like that are ****ing idiots. Next time goto the chevy dealership and snag a few on-star equipt vehicles...

How about the idiots who go into a 7-11 or any gas station and pull and point a gun and sometimes even fire @ the clerks for less then $100. I guess their life isn't worth much more...

Evo would still make a fantastic media device sans phone service. Its wifi would still be viable, and all the apps that you can install with it.

    /points to ipod touch.

    /points to Samsung Moment

Oh wait, nvm. Not only does the Moment lock up the phone service, it also locks up the data service. At least it can still do all the media stuff... just not very well.

Sigh... I cannot wait to ditch the Moment and get my hands on an Evo. I should be placing my order within the next few days.:)

I would say some people buying EVO's on Craigslist or E-bay are gonna be mighty unhappy when they get it and can't activate it because it was a stolen phone!
