Hi, how can I update my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to the newest firmware and still keep my root?
update and just re-root if needed
When I try to update it says "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available." How do I update now?
What carrier are you using?
It works via Kies, I was in the same situation and updated a couple of nights ago. Takes about 20 minutes.
Doesn't work for me it says "SM-N900P does not support initializing."
I would suggest to just push some new firmware via ODIN.
Just be aware that, I know with Verizon at least, it is easier root your device on 4.3 then upgrade to 4.4 rather than lose root to 4.4 then root.
Also I have moved this thread into the Sprint Root Forum to get some assistance from other rooted Sprint Note 3 users.
